Maggneto ("we," "us," or "our") provides a platform for digitizing, storing, and managing aircraft maintenance records. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our mobile app and website (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service:

• Account information. Your email address, and optionally your name, phone number, and FAA certificate number and type, which you provide when you create or edit your profile.
• Aircraft and maintenance data. Aircraft details (such as tail number, make, and model), maintenance records, meter readings (e.g., Hobbs and tach time), oil and component data, and any documents or photographs of logbooks you upload.
• Sharing information. When you invite a mechanic or another user to access an aircraft, we store the email address you invite and the access level you grant.
• Usage and device data. Basic technical information such as app version and anonymized analytics that help us diagnose problems and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and sync your maintenance records across your devices.
• To extract and organize data from documents and meter photos you upload.
• To track maintenance compliance and surface relevant due items.
• To enable sharing of aircraft records with people you authorize.
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
• To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your maintenance records for advertising.

3. Service Providers

We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to run the Service. They process your data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their function:

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage.
• AI processing partners — to extract and organize maintenance information, we send images, documents, and text (such as logbook pages, meter photos, and the maintenance records and account details associated with them) to one or more AI providers, which may include Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), and OpenAI. This data is sent only to perform the requested processing and is not used to train their models.
• Vercel — hosts our website and provides aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics.

4. Data Sharing

The only people who can see your aircraft records are you and the users you explicitly invite to an aircraft. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer, but we will never sell your data.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time — either on the website from Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account, or in the mobile app from Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, your aircraft, and the associated maintenance records and documents. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our infrastructure providers using industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for aircraft owners and aviation professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
